Amroha, May 6, 2025 — Well-known singer and Indian Idol Season 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan was seriously injured in a tragic road accident early Sunday morning, leaving his fanbase and the music fraternity in shock.
The accident took place at about 3:40 AM on National Highway 9 near Gajraula in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. Pawandeep was driving an MG Hector SUV with his driver Rahul Singh and close friend Ajay Mehra when their car rammed into a parked Eicher Canter truck on the roadside.
Early reports indicate the driver might have dozed off at the wheel, causing the massive impact crash. All three occupants suffered significant injuries from the force of the hit, with Pawandeep suffering a catastrophic head injury in addition to multiple fractures in both legs.
The local authorities reached the location quickly and provided immediate medical treatment. The singer was first sent to a local hospital to stabilize him and then transferred to Fortis Hospital in Noida, where he is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of an expert trauma and orthopaedics team.
Physicians have stated that Pawandeep is stable and conscious but will need a series of operations over the next few days to mend the damage to his limbs. His status is under constant monitoring.
His friends, Rahul Singh and Ajay Mehra, also received serious injuries and are receiving treatment at the same center. The police have begun an investigation into the accident, and both vehicles have been seized.
News of the accident has prompted a wave of concern and support from fans, celebrities, and public figures. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished recovery to Pawandeep and confirmed all possible help.
